Dink and Freshman Pin, c.1949

The dink is made out of red felt with a white button on top.  The button is made out of metal which has "Dickinson College Freshman", along with the old college seal and on a piece of paper in the middle "Jim Pritchard" is written.

President William Durden's Dickinson College Freshman red beanie (“dink”) with "71" on the back in white and "A-1" written in black marker on the front. A name tag with the college seal and "Dickinson College" in red and "William Durden" in black, and a red and white student ID with a student photo on the back, all from 1967.

Freshman Pin, 1951

A white pin with "Dickinson College Freshman" in red and "Jane Myers" in pencil on both the back and front. Buttons were distributed to freshman women to be worn during new student initiation. Myers was a member of the Class of 1955.

Lewis Gobrecht's Freshman Button, 1951

Freshman button worn as name tag by Lewis Gobrecht '55 while attending Dickinson College as a student. Gobrecht majored in Political Science and History at Dickinson and was an active member of the College Choir, Glee Club, and the Dickinson Follies theater group. Gobrecht went on to have a long career teaching middle-school history in Carlisle.
