Dickinsonian, December 1887
Tensions rise between Dickinson fraternity members and the Carlisle Police Department, with the Sentinel defending Dickinson's students. Criticism is levied on students for their behavior during chapel when a visitor is present. The co-eds in the school are criticized for hazing other students. Dickinson loses to Swarthmore 6-22 in football. Mud-slinging between Dickinson and Lafayette continues, and Lehigh also begins criticizing Dickinson's football team.
