Student Senate finds a bank error in their favor, collecting $40,000. On Sunday the 24th, a glass Coke bottle filled with tobacco "juice" shatters, spilling onto and damaging multiple books in the library. The U.S. Senate passes the Brady Bill--stating that five business days must pass before the purchase of a handgun to allow for a background check. Hunger and Homelessness week is deemed successful, raising more than $1,500. The Women's Basketball team opens the season with an impressive win. Students are urged to be tested to HIV/ AIDS.
