The Board of Trustees met and discussed modernizing the campus, the endowment, and alumni contributions. A speakers' bureaus will be formed to allow students to practice public speaking outside of debating. Plans for the Miami Triad formal dance, hosted by Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Chi, are almost complete. Speech on "Patriotism versus Nationalism" will occur at the next meeting of the Young People's Fellowship. Belles Lettres Society to gain new officers. College presidents, including President Waugh, in the Eastern Intercollegiate Conference meet to discuss athletic scholarships. Three students elected into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. The Dickinsonian gets new officers to take control over the paper after this issue. The Y.M.C.A. organizes a series of guest to come to campus and speak on current issues. Dean Meredith investigates student opinion on social issues. German exchange student backpacked 3,500 miles over winter break. Dickinson Men's Basketball beats Franklin and Marshall, Bucknell and Gettysburg. Phi Delta Theta wins interfraternity basketball series. The library gets new books. New social code proposed. Microcosm beauty contest results are revealed. Pan-hellenic dance planned by four national sororities. Article about exams in "ancient days" (i.e. 1822). New card system for library rumored; this system will help detect when books are stolen.
