College Social Committee brings Claude Hopkins and his orchestra to campus for a concert.  Greek Club holds a meeting devoted to "Idylls of Theocritus," its last meeting of the semester.  William Nicklets writes a piece bemoaning the female gender's attachment to the need for male chivalrous attention even as it demands equal legal and political rights.  Dickinson Glee Club holds first rehearsal of 1939.  Co-chairmen of the Inter-collegiate Newspaper Association's semi-annual convention at Dickinson College, George S. McGill and Christian V. Graf, begin picking committees.  Henry Adams, '38, wins a $500 scholarship from Lafayette College for his special honors chemistry paper.  The Social Committee gives an old clothes dance.  Dean Ernest A. Vuilleumier is set to speak at the German club's first meeting of the year.  Dr. Sherwood Eddy to speak at Chapel on the day of the February general assembly of the Religious Association.  Twenty students interested in social survey visit Hershey Industrial School.  New officers for Dickinsonian and Microcosm elected.  Juniors lead in interclass women's bowling competition.  Basketball loses to Rutgers; set to play Villanova.  Freshman basketball defeats Blue ridge.  Men's bowling fairs poorly against community factory-based teams.   Dramatic Club presents "The Shining Hour."  Dr. Arthur Bishop receives Junior Honor Work applications.
