Construction on a new wall along high street in front of the Weiss Arts Center begins, and is met with much student opposition. COPUS sponsored an information session on Thursday, February 24th, to help students better understand their options regarding financial aid. The Weiss Center for Arts was recently flooded, but damage to the center was minimal, and faculty members continued to be optimistic about the new arts center. At the University of Denver, students convinced administrators to raise student fees so that the administration could provide better student services. Christine Nelson examines the nature of tenure evaluations in the wake of the recent recommendations for tenure that were given out by academic departments. ODK, the Follies, and the Congress of African Students sponsored the annual Broadway Night at Anita Tuvin Schlechter auditorium. Bill Pritchard writes a column about the superfluities of the US Constitution's language. John Farrell and Bill Thorton provided an evening of music to patrons at the college snack bar on Thursday night. The Follies prepare to perform "Godspell" on April 7. Indoor track season ends, as track athletes prepared for the spring outdoor season. Women's basketball beat Mary Washington College to win the Southern Division Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference title. The ski team is profiled.
