John W. Forney assures Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice John Meredith Read that he both values and respects his opinions. Mr. Forney then requests that Judge Read not make disputes within their political party public so that they may "keep [their] party united for the Presidential election," and "defeat the aspirations of General [Simon] Cameron."
