Assistant Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution Spencer Baird writes to George Lawrence regarding a description of a bird. As Lawrence's description "does not seem to differ much from [Thomas C.] Eyton," Baird recommends that Lawrence "send it to [Philip L.] Sclater for his opinion."
