Latin American Symposium begins
Thu., Apr. 13, 1989
The Latin American Symposium began on April 13th. The symposium was entitled "Women in Latin America: Changing Roles" and hosted Lya Luft as the keynote speaker. Luft was from Brazil and was an accomplished poet and novelist. The symposium, which continued to April 14th, also hosted a panel that addressed "Women in Latin American Politics, Economics, and Society. Another panel discussed "Latin American Women in the Arts."
