Neil Weillver delivers the Robert H. and Jane Weiner Lecture

Mon., Mar. 13, 1989

Niel Weillver, an oil painter, delivered the Robert H. and Jane Weiner lecture on March 13th at 8 p.m. in the Rubendall Recital Hall. Weillver discussed his paintings, which were part of the painterly realist school, and how they developed from a cross between abstract expressionism and traditional realism. Some of his paintings were on display in Weiss 204 from March 10 until March 17.  Most of his paintings were of landscapes in Maine and were housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, and the Whitney Museum of Art.
