Oratorical Junior Prize Contest 1862

This year's contest was held on June 21, 1862. Eight members of the Junior class gave speeches on a variety of subjects. E. F. Pitcher won the gold medal for his speech on "A Nation's Mission," and G. N. Glover won silver for his speech entitled "Vestiges of Despotism." Music was provided by the U.S. Garrison Band.
