Roger Brooke Taney and Moses Merryman

Researcher asked if anyone related to John Merryman may have attended Dickinson College around the time that Roger B. Taney (class of 1795) was a student, based on an alleged connection that may have influenced Taney in his "ex parte Merryman" ruling. Records show that a Moses Merryman (class of 1802) attended the college in 1800, a few years after Taney attended, but there are no records regarding any family relationship between Moses Merryman and John Merryman.
