Student Immersion programs are currently being developed in Spain, France, and Germany. The Women's Center, at 222 Church Street, will open March 1st to provide lectures and exhibits focused on feminists issues. The Mermaid Players productions of Chamber Music and The Day The Whores Came Out to Play Tennis receive rave reviews. The first artist in residence sponsored by the music department will be Ustad Hamid Hossain--a master Sitarist from Bangladesh, India. The swim team and dive team prepare for their final meets.

In this issue, students are angry over Professor Dennis Klinge's denial of tenure and some formed an organization, the Committee to Retain Klinge, to protest against it. Another committee, the Mediation Committee, is currently deciding whether to reconsider tenure for Professors Dennis Klinge and/or Marjorie Fitzpatrick. Diver Chris Daubert has an article featuring him being the only male diver on the team. "The Dickinsonian" asks for student's opinions on favoring the discrimination of marijuana.

Nobel Prize winner Charles H. Townes is awarded the Priestley Award. A resolution prohibiting discrimination in campus organizations awaits approval by the Board of Trustees. A group of administrators, faculty members, and students will meet to discuss what type of liberal arts college Dickinson should be. The assets of each actor to their role in the Follies production of Guys and Dolls is praised. Professor Robert Nilsson gives a review of the first semester of Dickinson's Bologna program. Dickinson is compared to Beloit College in academic structure and student population.
