Faculty approves PanHel Rush plan
Fri., Dec. 9, 1966
On Friday, December 9, 1966, faculty members declared several policy changes regarding course changes and rush policies.
This included announcing new courses for the next school year, including Film 201, Fine Arts 321, Fine Arts 325, two new courses in geology, a course in marine biology, and a half-course in sedimentary petrography.
Faculty members also approved a resolution on anti-discrimination in fraternities and sororities and other student organizations. Organizations recognized or desiring recognition were required under this resolution to submit declarations that "there is no policy, practice, or regulation which denies membership in said organization to any person on the basis of race, religious creed, color , ancestry, or national origin." Those organizations failing to submit such a statement "will immediately lose recognition and any future student organization will not be recognized without signing the above statement."
