Selected Highlights from this Issue:
- Walter E. Beach (class of 1956) donated a bust of Supreme Court Justice Roger Brooke Taney (class of 1795) to the College during the Law Day ceremony.
- The dedication ceremony for the new Malcolm Hall honored the memory of the late President Gilbert Malcolm (class of 1915).
- Dr. George W. Beadle, a biologist, became the 16th recipient of the Priestley Award.
- Retired diplomat John P. Davies Jr. addressed the annual scholarship dinner and defended the secret subsides that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) paid to student groups, professors, and research organizations.
- Lt. Col. Richard Kim (class of 1952) received the Legion of Merit medal in recognition of his actions in South Vietnam.
- Lt. Elizabeth G. Wylie (class of 1961) the first WAVE (United States Naval Reserve (Women's Reserve)) assigned to Vietnam.
