Carlisle Methodist Episcopal Churches, West Zion A.M.E, and Bethel A.M.E.
Date:
8 September 2009
Researcher inquired about resources regarding Methodist Episcopal churches in Carlisle, specifically the West Zion A.M.E. and Bethel A.M.E. churches. Some materials were found for the Allison Memorial, and Allison United Methodist churches, as well as Emory Chapel. Information regarding the local African American community, including churches, was found within a collection of scrapbooks compiled by local resident Paul "Pappy" Hodge.
