James Buchanan and student/faculty dispute

Researcher requested information regarding a dispute between students and faculty in 1851 that was mediated by James Buchanan, who happened to be in town at the time. Researcher was pointed toward Charles Coleman Sellers' history of the college, page 233, for a brief description of the incident.
