Selected Highlights from this Issue: 
  • President Cornelius W. Prettyman (class of 1891) died after 47 years of service. Former President Fred P. Corson (class of 1917) delivered an eulogy at Dr. Prettyman's funeral, which the Alumnus published. 
  • The Board of Trustees elected William Wilcox Edel (class of 1915) as the 22nd president of Dickinson College.
  • Portrait of John Rhey (class of 1883) and Robert McClelland (class of 1829) were presented to the College.
  • 22 new faculty members started teaching at Dickinson in fall 1946.
