Third Annual Black Student Union Conference took place on campus. Accreditation of College is reviewed in preparation for Middle States Evaluation. Role of Sororities on campus is discussed. Senate Auxiliary Enterprises and Grievances Committee works to improve things on campus. Discussions begin about transforming old gym into a Creative Arts Center. New band on campus, The Instigators, are reviewed positively. The Omicron Chapter of Sigma Chi wins the Peterson Significant Chapter Award.

Dr. George Shuman announces retirement from vice-president and Board of Trustees positions. A host program is initiated by the Auxiliary Enterprise Committee and Dana Scholars. The Task Force on Residential and Social Life holds first meeting. An overview of the Public Affairs Symposium "Human Destiny: Can It Be Controlled" is featured. Prof. Frederick Ferre calls attention to plagiarism in faculty meeting. Sunnyside Restaurant receives a favorable review.

Dickinsonian, November 8, 1974

The Pittsburgh Symphony Chamber Orchestra will play at the College. The Auxiliary Enterprises Committee (AEX) presents a statement to Senate to close the dining hall to non-boarding students in an effort to lessen stealing of food. In their most recent meeting, faculty debates and questions the search committee for new president of the College. The Office of Student Services and the Counseling Center announce a career workshop for women that is planned. The College hosted the First Annual Dickinson College Debate Debacle, which was won by Wesleyan College.
