207th Opening Convocation

This opening ceremony began with the academic procession, which was followed by the introduction of new faculty and administrative staff. The Phi Beta Kappa inductees were recognized, and scholarship recipients were also recognized. Sophister awards were presented. President Banks gave an address on "The Sleep of Reason." Faculty promotions, new appointments, and honor prizes and scholarships were announced. Several individuals were recognized for excellence in special fields.
