209th Opening Convocation

The ceremony began with the academic procession, followed by the introduction of new faculty, librarians, and administrative staff. The Phi Beta Kappa inductees were recognized, as well as scholarship recipients. The sophister awards were presented. President Banks gave an address on "A Matter of Life and Death." Faculty promotions and honor prizes and scholarships were announced. Several individuals were recognized for excellence in special fields.
