Boyd Lee Spahr (Class of 1900), acting president of Dickinson from 1945-46 and namesake of the Boyd Lee Spahr Library (later the Waidner-Spahr Library), received an honorary Doctor of Civil Law degree as part of the College's 1950 Commencement exercises.
