The Business Man's Carnival

The Business Men’s Carnival under the auspices of the Dickinson College Athletics department played at the Carlisle Opera House. The vaudeville inspired comedy show consisted of over 40 skits lasting over 4 hours. The cast was more than 100 college men and women from the area. The skits portrayed the leading businesses and merchants of the town. The show was planned and directed by Mrs. M. A. Harris and accompanied by Nellie MacMillen and the McDonald’s Orchestra. The Dickinsonian states that “[t]he show was a rousing success in every particular surpassing, even the expectations of its promoters.”
