Jazz Ensemble Fifth Annual Winter Concert

The Dickinson Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of J.W. "Buzz" Jones, presented their fifth annual winter concert in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium with guest soloist John Oddo. Oddo, a professional jazz pianist and musical director for singer Rosemary Clooney, "showed his expertise as he played with sensitivity and added many tasteful ornaments to the soothing melody". The show featured the compositions "Hello Detroit", "Birdland", "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most", "June Bug", "Theme on Search of a Movie", "John Brown's Other Body", "But Beautiful", and "Bluesy Basie".
