Junior Vocal Recital

The Music Department presented a junior recital for sopranos Bethany Arnold and Shaune Milligan at 3:00pm at Rubendall Recital Hall. The vocalists performed Fernando Obradors' "Con amores, la mia madre", Manuel de Falla's "Nana", Enrique Granados' "La Maja dolorosa", Johannes Brahms' "Ständchen" and "Vergebliches Ständchen", Richard Strauss' "Nacht", Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Voi che sapete", Gabriel Fauré's "Ici-bas" and "Arpege", Reynaldo Hahn's "L'heure exquise", the Appalachian folk song "He's Gone Away", the old English folk song "Scarborough Fair", the Negro spirituals "Nobody Knows the Trouble" and "By' and By'", George Gershwin's "Summertime", David Diamond's "Brigid's Song", Robert Convery's "A Cradle Song", and Benjamin Britten's arrangement of Henry Purcell's "Shepherds, leave decoying".
