Mermaid Players' Production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" Opens

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, a musical based on the plays of Plautus, opened at 8:00pm in the Mermaid Players' Theatre. The play was written by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart and the music and lyrics were written by Stephen Sondheim. Presented by the Mermaid Players, the production ran from May 2-6, including an additional matinee performance on May 4 at 2:00pm.
