Noonday Concert

The Department of Music presented the eighth Noonday Concert of the 1983-1984 academic year in Rubendall Recital Hall. Students and faculty performed Mikhail Starokadomsky's "At the Brook"; Ludwig van Beethoven's "Sonata in G Major" and "Sonata in C-sharp Minor"; Henry Purcell's "Strike the Viol"; Frederic Chopin's "Prelude in E Minor No. 4"; Samuel Barber's "At Saint Patrick's Purgatory", "The Crucifixion", "The Monk and His Cat", "The Desire for Hermitage", "A Nun Takes the Veil", and "Sure on this Shining Night"; Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco's "Sonatina for flute and guitar"; and Felix Mendelssohn's "Octet in E-flat Major".
