Noonday Concert

The Music Department presented a Noonday Concert in the Rubendall Recital Hall. Students and faculty performed Jules Massenet's "Meditation from 'Thais'", Johannes Brahms' "Hungarian Dance No. 2", Ludwig van Beethoven's "Opus 1, No. 1", Seosamh MacCorthmhaoil and Hamilton Harty's "Lagan Love", Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Silent Noon", George Frideric Handel's "I Rage, I Melt, I Burn" and "O, Ruddier than the Cherry", three pieces from Gustav Mahler's "Des Knaben Wunderhorn", Gabriel Fauré's "Reve d'Amour", Lee Hoiby's "The Shepherd", Franz Danzi's "Minuet and Trio in d minor, Op. 68, No. 2", Sergei Prokofiev's "Gavotte" from the Classical Symphony, Joseph Lamb's "Ragtime Nightingale", and James P. Johnson's "Carolina Shout".
