Trio Vocal Recital

The Department of Music presented soprano Paula Chipman, mezzo-soprano Brenda Smith, and baritone Sterling Scroggins in a concert at 8:15 in Rubendall Recital Hall. They sang Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Soave sia il vento", "Ecco quel fiero istante", and "Susanna, what's the matter"; Johannes Brahms' "Es rauschet das Wasser" and "Phaenomen"; Robert Schumann's "Erste Begegnung", "In der Nacht", and "Ich bin dein Baum"; Gustav Mahler's "Lied des Verfolgten im Turm"; Johann Strauss' "To part is such sweet sorrow"; Gabriel Faure's "Pleurs d'or"; Leo Delibes' "Vien Mallika"; Giachino Rossini's "Voga, o Tonio" and "Gia la notte"; Phyllis Tate's arrangements of "Swing low, sweet chariot", "My Lord, what a mornin", and "Joshua fought the battle".
