Sat., Sep. 23, 1989

The Trout Gallery exhibited a series called "Appalachian Landscapes: With Naturalistic Eyes." The exhibit, which was up until November 4th, featured sixteen 19th century oil on canvas paintings. Two on display were owned by the college while the rest were on loan from a private collection in the William Penn Memorial Museum and the State Museum of Pennsylvania and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh.

The exhibit was created at Geology Professor Noel Potter's urging to coincide with the 20th Annual Binghamton Geomorphology Symposium being held at Dickinson.
