1960 Christmas Concert

The Department of Music, the College Chorus and the College Orchestra presented the annual Christmas concert at 8:30pm in the College Chapel. The program of twelve pieces included Ludwig van Beethoven's "Coriolan Overture", Johann Sebastian Bach's "Gloria in Excelsis", Pierluigi da Palestrina's "O Bone Jesu", Giuseppi Verdi's "Gracious Lord", Noble Cain's "On This Good Christmas Morn", George Frederic Handel's "Hallelujah" from The Messiah, Peter Wilhousky's arrangement of "Battle Hymn of the Republic", Tomas Luis de Victoria's "O Magnum Magnum", Randall Thompson's "Alleluia", Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Gloria in Excelsis", Jack Jarrett's arrangement of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", and Joseph Haydn's "The Heavens are Telling".
