Toronto Consort Performs

The Toronto Consort presented Music for Lorenzo the Magnificent at 8:00pm in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. In honor of the great Florentine patron of the arts, the consort performed Heinrich Isaac's "Palle, palle", "Ne piu bella di questi", "Questo mostrarsi", "Un di lieto giamai non hebbi, "La Bassa Danza", and "Alla battaglia"; Josquin des Pres' "La Spagna" and "Helas madame"; Alexander Coppinus' "Canto di lanzi cozzoni"; and the anonymously-written songs "Canto delle palle" and "Basse danse La Spagne".
