1984 Parents' Day Concert

The Department of Music presented the College Choir, Collegium Musicum, College-Community Orchestra and Wind Ensemble in the annual Parents' Day Concert at 11:00am in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. They performed Ralph Vaughn Williams' "Toccata Marziale", Vincent Persichetti's "So Pure the Star", excerpts from Georges Bizet's Carmen Suite, the anonymously-written song "Kyrie", Juan del Encina's "Si abra en este baldres" and "Una sanosa posfia", Jacques Arcadelt's "Margot, laboures les vignes", Paul Hindemith's "Un cygne", Claude Debussy's "Quant j'ai ouy le tabourin", William Billings' "When Jesus Wept" and "Jargon", Robert Swift's "Ozymandias", Gwen Hester's "Go From Me", and Bayne Dobbins' "Skylark", and selections from Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah
