1986 Parents' Day Concert

The Department of Music presented the College Choir, Symphonic Band, and College-Community Orchestra in the 1986 Parents' Day Concert at 11:ooam in Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium. The Symphonic Band opened the program and played Franz Schubert's "March Militaire I", Sammy Nestico's "Persuasion", and Scott Joplin's "The Strenuous Life". Next, the orchestra played Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures from an Exhibition. Closing the show, the choir sang Benjamin Britten's "Time", "Concord", "Country Girls", "Rustics and Fishermen", and "Final Dance of Homage"; Randall Thompson's "The Last Words of David"; and Ludwig van Beethoven's "Hallelujah".
