Buzz Jones Big Band Performs "Jazz in the 20th Century"

The Cultural Affairs Committee presented the Buzz Jones Big Band playing "Jazz in the 20th Century" at 8:00pm in the Weiss Center for the Arts.  The program included S. Barduhn's arrangement of Jimmy van Huesen's "Polkadots and Moonbeams", S. Nestico's arrangement of Duke Ellington's "Don't Get Around Much Anymore", R. McConnell's arrangement of Dizzy Gillespie's "Groovin' High", D. Parker's arrangement of Lieber and Stoller's "Kansas City", S. Nestico's arrangement of Duke Ellington's "Satin Doll", P. Wilson's arrangement of Josef Zawinul's "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy," M. Mendelson's arrangement of John Coltrane's "Naima", P. Jennings' arrangement of Chick Corea's "Spain", J. Chattaway's arrangement of Elton John's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me", Rob McConnell's arrangement of Johnny Mandel's "Close Enough for Love", Thad Jones' "Blues for the Wee One", Bryan Kidd's "Sam Bop", Bob Mintzer's "Computer", and Mike Pendowski's "Back at the Flat".
