Dickinson Singers and Handbell Choir Present "Voices of the Season"

The Music Department presented a holiday concert titled "Voices of the Season" featuring the Dickinson Singers and the Dickinson Handbell Choir at 8:15pm in Rubendall Recital Hall.  The ensembles performed Cynthia Dobrinski's "Rondo Festivo"; George Frideric Handel's "Glory to God", from The Messiah, and "See, the conqu'ring hero", from Judas Maccabeus; Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's "How Lovely are the Messengers"; Leon Wajner's "Haroe Hakatan"; Daniel Bechtel's "Mary Carol" and "Joseph Carol"; Cynthia Dobrinski's arrangement of John H. Hopkins' "We Three Kings"; Betty B. Garee's arrangement of the traditional Spanish carol "In Joseph's Lovely Garden"; Michael Praetorius' "Es ist ein' Ros' entsprungen"; the Austrian carol "Still, still, still"; Harold Darke's "In the bleak mid-winter"; H. Walford Davies' arrangement of the traditional English carol "The Holly and the Ivy"; the traditional Spanish carol "Fum, Fum, Fum"; Carl Schalk's "Noël";Hary Morris' arrangement of the Ukrainian carol "Carol of the Bells"; Gustav Holst's arrangement of the German carol "Personent hodie"; the traditional Italian "Gesu, Bambin l' e nato"; the traditional Catalonian carol "El Noi de la Mare"; Willcocks' arrangements of the traditional French carols "Whence is that goodly fragrance flowing?" and "Ding dong merrily on High"; Martin Shaw's arrangement of the 16th century English piece "Coventry Carol"; and Rogie Clark's arrangement of "Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow".
