1997 Jazz Ensemble Spring Concert

The Music Department presented the Jazz Ensemble's 1997 Spring Concert. The ensemble performed Ella Fitzgerald and Van Alexander's "A-Tisket, A-Tasket"; Herbie Hancock, Bennie Maupin, Harvey Mason, and Paul Jackson's "Chameleon" (arr. Jay Chattaway); JoAnne Bracken's "Curved Space", "Fi-Fi Goes to Heaven", and "Filene's"; Walter Becker and Donald Fagen's "Deacon Blues" (arr. John Higgins); Peter Chatman's "Every Day (I Have the Blues)" (arr. Roger Holmes); Cole Porter's "Night and Day" (arr. Mark Taylor); John Lennon and Paul McCartney's "Norwegian Wood" (arr. Bob Lowden); Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil, Mike Stoller, and Jerry Leiber's "On Broadway" (arr. John Higgins); Russ Freeman's "Morocco" (arr. Gordon Goodwin); Sammy Nestico's "Pressure Cooker"; George and Ira Gershwin's "Strike Up the Band" (arr. Sammy Nestico); and Dorothy Fields and Jerome Kern's "The Way You Look Tonight" (arr. Roger Holmes).
