  • William Wilcox Edel (class of 1915) officially became the 22nd President of Dickinson College.
  • Helen Burns Norcross (class of 1912) was appointed Dean of Women by President Edel.
  • Alpheus T. Mason (class of 1920), a professor at Princeton University, published a new book, Brandeis: A Free Man's Life.
  • The Alumnus published Rev. George Chenoweth's account of the Confederate invasion of Carlisle during the Civil War in 1863.
