- The Alumnus published Harvard University Professor George Gaylord Simpson's address at a special Homecoming Weekend Convocation titled "Biology and the Public Good."
- The Dickinson Fund introduced two new organizations, the Benjamin Rush Associates and The John Dickinson Society.
- Robert D. Burrows (class of 1957) published a new book, Essays on the American Constitution.
- George W. Ahl, Jr., (class of 1950) discussed corporate planning in "Management-by-Objective."
