Priestley Scientific Glassware

Ten pieces of various scientific glassware owned and used by John Priestley for his experiements. The set includes several clear glass test tubes, flasks, "s" tubes, and a flask with a valve.

Red Devils Mug, c.1985

A white, ceramic mug with a red and black design of a "D" with a devil's tail. Below the letter are the words "Red Devils Dickinson".

Romeo and Juliet Tray, 1895

A long white rectangular tray with hand painted gold details around the edge of the tray and a hand painted design of Romeo and Juliet, a sword, a question mark, and the text "Romeo and Juliet." in gold. This object belonged to Elizabeth Anna Low, class of 1891.

Set of Bowls (4), c.1890

A set of four small white bowls with gilt decoration along the circumferance of the bowl and around the rim. The letters "E.A.L" are written on the sides of the bowls in gilt. These objects belonged to Elizabeth Anna Low, class of 1891.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Beer Stein, 1959

Ceramic beer stein with Sigma Alpha Epsilon's fraternity's symbol on the front and 'Dickinson College' printed on the top. '1959' printed in the middle through the symbol.  Belonged to George Kessler Livezey III (Class of 1959).

Ceramic beer stein with Sigma Chi's symbol on the front and "Dickinson College" printed on the top. The year "1959" is printed in the middle of the stein through the symbol. Belonged to George Kessler Livezey III (Class of 1959).

China plate with gilt trim, manufactured by Lenox. It features the college seal in gold at the top, and West College in black in the center. On the back, the plate notes the 200th anniversary of the college (1773-1973), with a date of September 1952. The plate appears to be the first issued of this special design, with a gold "1" appearing below the Lenox logo.

A white bowl attached to a saucer. Both have roses painted on them with gold edging. This object was painted and given to Elizabeth Anna Low, class of 1891, by classmate Sarah Yocum, Class of 1891.
