Construction of Drayer Hall, 1952

This post features clips of the construction of Drayer Hall and the Sadler Curtilage at Dickinson Law School in 1952. Drayer Hall, which opened in 1952, was the first dormitory built at Dickinson College exclusively for women. The Baird Biology Building, which is on Morgan Field, is also visible in a short clip at around the 1:20 mark in this video.

Phi Delta Theta House Construction, 1931

This post features video clips relating to the construction of the Phi Delta Theta House, now known as the Stuart House, which is located on N. West Street across from East College. It includes a groundbreaking ceremony on May 1, 1931 that features Professor William Weidman Landis (Class of 1891), a member of the fraternity as a student, Dean Hoffman (Class of 1902), J. Freed Martin (Class of 1912), and George B. Elliott (Class of 1931).
