John Taylor Cuddy writes six letters to his friends and family, describing life as a solider for the Union Army along with his experience in military campaigns during the Civil War. "We have good news from the south we have licked them a few places I do not think that this ware [war] can last much longer and then we will come home safe again," as Cuddy notes.
