Unofficial Art and Literary Censorship in the USSR Conference

Dickinson hosted a joint Conference on Unofficial Art and Literary Censorship in the USSR on March 29th, 1980 in the Holland Union Building. St. Mary's College of Maryland, the Cremona Foundation, and the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL) co-hosted the event with Dickinson. The conference featured an exhibit of unofficial art and lectures by experts including Patricia Blake, associate editor of TIME magazine, and Don Graves, Chief of the Soviet Internal Division, Bureau of Intelligence and Research, US Department of State.
