Scientific Equipment
A black tin case containing an alchometer apparatus, with instructions, consisting of a glass graduated cylinder, a metal tube and clip, a small candle, a small glass orb and a glass flask. This apparatus was developed by Chemistry Professor Ernest Vuilleumier as a way to test liquids for alcohol, which could be used by law enforcement during the years of Prohibition.

A brass metal mechanism with an exposed needle, raised half-circle meter and two current knobs mounted on a wooden base. A small silver metal plaque on the front of the instrument reads "CURRENT INDICATOR No. 122 CAPACITY 34 AMPERES PATENT APPLIED FOR MANUFACTURED BY THOMSON HOUSTON ELECTRIC CO. LYNN, MASS. U.S.A.

Multiple long glass plate slides painted with images to be used with a projector. A total of 18 slides are stored in two wooden boxes along with a black painted wood slide holder. One series of slides features signs of the zodiac and other astronomical themes, and those are signed C. Burton and dated 1847 in the lower right corner.
