Two beaded arm or leg bands, c. 1890

Two trapezoidal shaped beaded leather arm or leg bands from the Shoshone at Fort Hall Reservation, Idaho. The bands are approximately 11” by 6.5” and are intricately and identically decorated with light blue, red, yellow, green, white, and dark blue beads and have leather five leather strings on each short end. These objects were owned by Zatae Longsdorff, class of 1887.
