After the academic procession, President Banks gave an address entitled "Living on Leftovers." New faculty, academic professionals, and administrative staff were introduced. Scholarship recipients were introduced, and the sophister awards were presented. Faculty promotions and honor prizes and scholarships were announced.

The Founders Convocation of the 200th Anniversary of Dickinson College
