The Board of Trustees chooses Reverend Dr. Fred Pierce Corson to be the college’s twentieth president. The freshmen beat the sophomores in the Evening Scrap. In addition to choosing a new president, the Board of Trustees also created an alumni fund and a new scheme of athletic control. Senate Committees are appointed to govern sports, religion, and aspects of social life at the college. The formation of the Union Literary Society is a result of the merging of the Belles Lettres Society and the Union Philosophical Society. Mrs. Mary Ganoe Rehfus is now in charge of women’s athletics, and plans to expand it.
