John W. Yost writes Frank T. Bell and describes his missionary work at a boys school in China as well as asks for financial help to establish scholarships . In addition, Yost notes how the reaction to news that the Emperor and Empress Dowager had died. "The people were greatly grieved indeed, much as we would be upon the death of our President, but here they make their grief more apparent," as Yost explains. Yost (Class of 1903) and Bell (Class of 1902) are both Beta Pi alumni. Transcript included.
