Naturalist and Smithsonian administrator Spencer Fullerton Baird writes to Professor Robert Bell of the Canadian Geological Survey. Baird is grateful to have received Professor Selwyer's stratigraphical series of American rocks, but he is disappointed at not being able to obtain other collections he was interested in.
