Wed., Dec. 2, 1953
The Men's Glee Club presented Festival of Song, a Christmas-themed concert, in Bosler Hall at 8:00pm. The men opened their program singing Bullard's "Dartmouth Winter Song" and a tradtional Welsh song entitled "All Through the Night". They then sang a Christmas medley compiled by Oglesby featuring such carols as "O Come All Ye Faithful", "Jingle Bells", "Silent Night" and "I Wonder as I Wander". To finish the first half of the program, the club performed Tchervanow's "Sleigh Song", Berlin's "White Christmas", Forsyth's "The Bell-Man", and Richter's "The Creation". After the intermission, the program continued with Hathaway's "Mosquitoes", Hall's "High Barbary", Oglesby's "Drink to the Girl", Rogers and Hammerstein's "There is Nothing Like a Dame", a spiritual song entitled "Soon Ah Will be Done", and Torme and Wells' "Christmas Song".
